It comprises two peninsulas with a spacious beach in between, which splits the site into a land area of 62 square km and a water surface area of 58 sq km. Encircled by sea all around, the beach boasts a coastline of 30 km.
Shenyang-Dalian Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone was established under the approval of the State Council in April 2016.
Located in the southeast of Liaoyang, Liaoning province, 60 kilometers from Shenyang in the north and 300 km from Dalian in the south, Liaoyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone sits in the hinterland of Shenyang economic region.
It has a planning area of 620,000 square meters. The first phase, covering 141,000 sq m, was put into operation in June 2007.
It was upgraded to a provincial economic development zone in April 2011 and a national economic and technological development zone in January 2013.
Located in the southwest of Shenyang, Liaoning province, Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone was established on June 1988.
