Liebherr's new plant begins operation in Jinpu

Liebherr Components (Dalian) Co Ltd commenced operations in Jinpu New Area on March 19.

The plant, with a total investment of approximately 110 million euros and a registered capital of 37 million euros, will fully utilize its advanced manufacturing and processing technologies to conduct research, development and production of components used for wind power projects. Its development will support the high-quality development of the Jinpu New Area and make positive contributions to achieving carbon peak and neutrality goals.

German-based Liebherr Group is one of the world's largest construction machine manufacturers. With a history of 75 years, it has evolved into a multinational enterprise, boasting 11 product segments and employing 48,000 people worldwide. It has established 40 production facilities and over 140 companies in more than 50 countries.

Liebherr Group has invested in two plants in Jinpu New Area. As China's wind power industry has developed rapidly in recent years, Liebherr Group, as one of the few large suppliers of wind power bearing, has once again turned its attention to Jinpu New Area. It has decided to establish Liebherr Components (Dalian) Co Ltd, with a focus on the manufacturing of wind power bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulic cylinders. Upon reaching full production capacity, the plant is expected to generate an annual output value of 800 million yuan.
