On October 30th, the "MU LAN" transport ship completed the loading of 65,000 tons of bonded LNG at the dedicated terminal of PipeChina's LNG receiving station in Dalian Jinpu New Area.

This event marks the first international LNG transshipment operation in northern China and represents a pivotal milestone in establishing Dalian as the premier LNG port in the north with international transshipment capabilities.

The vessel, operated by the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), would reach Thailand for cargo delivery in just five days.

The Dalian LNG receiving station of PipeChina is the northernmost and only liquefied natural gas receiving station in Northeast China. Currently, the Dalian LNG Company has introduced various bonded loading models, including single unloading and loading (1+1), single unloading and multiple loading (1+N), multiple unloading and single loading (N+1), and multiple unloading and loading (N+N), providing innovative solutions for offshore LNG trade for upstream and downstream customers.

In the next phase, the Dalian Area of the China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone will support the Dalian LNG Company in expanding its terminal markets in Japan, South Korea, China's southeast coast, and inland rivers. It aims to accelerate the establishment of the Northeast Asia LNG international transit and distribution base.

Leveraging its geographical and experimental advantages, the zone will create a trade cluster for bulk commodities such as oil, minerals, and grain by expanding international shipping of bonded LNG and bonded methanol fueling services and establishing bonded warehouses for genetically modified soybeans. This initiative is aimed at developing new formats and models for commodity trade, comprehensively enhancing the quality and efficiency of open cooperation with Northeast Asia.
