The 7th season of "Crab Hunting" in Dalian brings a variety of speciality dishes created by Shangri-La Hotels’ talented chefs, allowing crab enthusiasts to savour the autumn delicacies they love.
This year's culinary promotion brings together the renowned Chinese mitten crabs from the Yangtze River Delta, green crabs from the South China Sea, and river crabs from North China.
The Shangri-La Hotel in Dalian arranged a visit to Shangri-La's river crab paddy field in Panjin, Liaoning province, giving participants a close-up experience of the crab's natural habitat and allowing them to participate in the joy of crab hunting.
The hotel also organized a cooking class at its culinary research center, allowing attendees to enjoy the process of cooking river crabs themselves.
At the hotel's Shang Palace, chefs use Panjin river crab as an ingredient to present exquisite delicacies, including Panjin river crab with abalone, dried scallop and crab meat soup with bean threads, crab meat baked with cheese and dragon fruit, crispy crab meat beef ribs, and egg-fried rice with shredded crab meat.
