On June 24th, the world's largest ultra-large container ship, named "MSC Nicola Mastro," made its first docking at Dalian Port in the Jinpu New Area.

As China's independently developed largest container ship, the "MSC Nicola Mastro" was delivered and launched in Shanghai on June 15th of this year. The ship measures an impressive total length of 399.99 meters, exceeding the length of the current world's largest aircraft carrier by over 60 meters. With a width of 61.5 meters, the ship's deck area is equivalent to nearly four standard football fields. It boasts a depth of 33.2 meters and can stack containers up to 25 layers high, with maximum carrying capacity reaching 24,116 standard containers.

The "MSC Nicola Mastro" will transport chemical products and electromechanical equipment along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, traversing countries such as Saudi Arabia and Israel before ultimately reaching major ports in Europe, including Gioia Tauro in Italy, Fos in France, and Barcelona in Spain. With the inclusion of this ship, Dalian Port now boasts a fleet of 46 large vessels with a capacity of over 19,000 standard containers.
