On May 18, Jinpu New Area held an investment promotion sub-conference at the Dalian International Convention Center on the sidelines of the 2023 Dalian Conference on Scientific and Technological Innovation.
At the ceremony, Jinpu New Area gave an introduction to the Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park, Northern China's "Silicon Valley", Sino-Japan Ecological Demonstration New City, Songmu Island Chemical Industry Development Zone, the Dalian Modern Agricultural Industry Center and the Dalian Digital Valley.
The investment promotion event also witnessed the signing of 12 major projects, which cover sci-tech research and development, the building of an alliance among enterprises, universities and research institutes, and the commercialization of research findings. The total amount of the relevant deals was over 3.14 billion yuan ($ 441.5 million).
Jinpu New Area ranks first in Dalian in terms of its number of high-tech and gazelle companies. As of 2022, the new area had fostered 256 innovation-driven small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), 128 provincial-level SMEs and 32 state-level SMEs that specialize in niche sectors.
