A groundbreaking ceremony was held in the China-Japan Ecological Demonstration City of Dalian Jinpu New Area, Northeast China's Liaoning province, on January 28, to launch the construction of a micro-sized and nano-sized electrode material plant.

With an area of 17,000 square meters, the new project was invested by Dalian Overseas Huasheng Electronics Technology Co Ltd to annually produce 500 tons of high-end micro-sized and nano-sized electronic components, which includes electrode materials for microelectronic devices and pasting materials for advanced semi-conductors.

Dalian Overseas Huasheng Electronics Technology is a domestically leading high-tech enterprise in the research and development of electrode materials for high-end electronic components, as well as an industrial leader in the standard formulation of electrode pasting for multi-layer ceramic capacitors.

Upon completion in December, the first phase of the plant is expected to generate an annual output of 1.5 billion yuan ($221.4 million).

Jinpu New Area is scheduled to kick off 55 projects in the first quarter with a total investment of 12.5 billion yuan, which include a sanitary ware production site of TOTO Group, the third-phase equipment lead-in project for vehicle batteries by Prime Planet Dalian Energy, the Dalian headquarters of Tokai Carbon Co Ltd, and an industrial cluster of hydrogen energy.
