The Ministry of Commerce has released the results of the 2022 assessment and evaluation on the comprehensive development level of 217 national economic and technological development zones. Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone (DETDZ) ranked No.1 in Northeast China and 15th nationwide.
The zone has moved up 14 spots in the State-level evaluation from four years ago and topped its counterparts in Northeast China for two consecutive years.
The DETDZ's achievements are the result of its acceleration in the construction of the area for opening-up and cooperation in Northeast Asia. This pushed forward economic and industrial transformation and deepened opening-up and comprehensive development.
In addition to the steady climb in the development ranking, the DETDZ also placed 8th in the actual use of foreign capital, making it the only one from Northeast China to feature in the top 10.
