By way of China's sea-land intermodal transport, a batch of 44 secondhand vehicles from the Republic of Korea (ROK) was recently delivered to its final destination in Kazakhstan.
After shipping them from the ROK to the Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or the Dalian FTZ, in Jinpu New Area, the vehicles were loaded onto a truck and sent to Horgos port, a border port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, which was their last stop in China before entering Kazakhstan.
Thanks to close cooperation among the Dalian FTZ, Dalian Customs and Liaoning Port Group, the adoption of sea-land intermodal transport has provided more options for the cross-border transportation of commercial vehicles and further advanced the building of a sea-land corridor for international trade in northeast China.
In January 2021, Liaoning Port Group rolled out the cross-border sea-land intermodal transport service for Japanese cars. The successful transportation of secondhand vehicles from the ROK to Kazakhstan will further expand the influence of China's integrated transport service and advance the construction of its international trade sea-land corridor.
