Container ship GSL Tinos docked at the Dalian port on Jan 11, marking the establishment of the "sea express" for the international trade between Northeast China and South America, an event that was marked by a cooperation signing ceremony by Liaoning Port Group's Chilean Cherry Dalian Northeast Asia Distribution Center. The center will further improve Liaoning Port Group's international shipping service, strengthen the international trade advantage of cold-chain commodities of the Dalian free trade zone and upgrade the level of openness of the free trade zone.

The maiden ship of the "sea express" carried 616 standard containers of Chilean cherries, among which 592 standard containers will be unloaded and shipped directly to the Northeast and North China regional wholesale markets. Another 24 standard containers of cherries will be shipped to Korea via Dalian port, a sign of Dalian Port's increasing capacity to transport and distribute South American fruits across the Northeast Asian area.

According to the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed on that day, Liaoning Port Group and Chile's Fruit Exporters Association will provide fast and qualit services for Northeast China, North China, Japan, Korea and Northeast Asia region through a joint operation mode.
