The 18th Dalian International Beach Cultural Festival opened on the evening of July 24, at the Jinshitan National Tourist Resort.
The opening ceremony of the event was coordinated with the public channel of the Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) for the first time, and it was operated by Dalian Qingyun River Construction Co Ltd.
The opening ceremony attracted more than 81,000 tourists to Jinshitan and the viewers of the live broadcast exceeded 1.5 million that night, greatly contributing to the recovery of Dalian's cultural tourism industry.
The festival will last until September 10, and more than 30 special activities will be launched. Visitors can enjoy the sun, the beach and the sea, as well as the coolness of midsummer in Dalian.
