The first China-Europe freight train heading for a logistics center in Moscow, Russia left Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, on July 3.
The freight train departed from Shenyang East Station, leaving China through Ereenhot in Inner Mongolia. It will finally arrive at the logistics center in Moscow in 13 to 15 days. Goods such as surgical masks, auto parts, chemicals and mechanical equipment are carried in 42 40-foot containers.
The center launched its first freight train heading for China on June 18. Thus, the freight trains between China and the center have achieved two-way operation.
The Liaoning provincial commerce department and other authorities donated 300,000 surgical masks to Russia's railway company for the anti-epidemic work of Chinese and Russia front-line employees.
Relying on the international logistics gateway and the sea-land two-way transport corridor, Liaoning Port Group has been making use of the inland container distribution branches in Northeast China to welcome more enterprises and goods to the Belt and Road Initiative since the beginning of this year. Next, the group will further develop and improve the Sino-Russian railway gateway service level.
