A cantilever measuring 147.2 meters long on a cable-stayed bridge was rotated to its targeted position on Monday in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, setting a record in the longest cantilever rotated construction in China.
With the efforts of more than 150 workers and 12 pieces of large-scale equipment, the cantilever swiveled around an angle of 45 degrees for nearly four hours and 30 minutes above the city's railway terminal.
To ensure the absolute safety of passenger trains, China Railway Shenyang Group adjusted train schedules in advance.
As one of the key projects in the city, the 1,880-meter bridge will link Kunshan West Road and National Highway 304, which can effectively help relieve traffic pressure.
