The industrial base, covering a construction area of around 10,000 square meters, is located near Shenyang Palace Museum, Marshal Zhang's Mansion and time-honored Zhongjie Street.

It is a key project that Liaoning provincial department of culture and tourism is putting a great deal of focus on.

Officials said it has also received great support from the Liaoning Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The base includes a gallery for Liaoning intangible cultural heritage items, a cultural exhibition center, a cultural center for Central and Eastern European countries, theaters, training centers, international exchange centers and food areas.

A range of cultural activities – including cultural knowledge quizzes, lectures and forums on protection of intangible cultural heritage items and exhibitions – will be held at the base, according to officials.
